How Carrie Glenn's Writer's Workshop Was Born...
I had to face that I was breaking every rule.
I chalked it up to the old adage: the upholsterer never upholsters their own furniture.
You know, most experts use their expertise for others—clients, friends, etc.—but not for themselves. Like many other entrepreneurs, I tended to my company after the needs of my clients. (Which meant, hardly ever.)
It was time to give my business the self-care it needed and, frankly, deserved.
I had been breaking my #1 rule with my most important client: me.
My #1 rule is simple:
Fall in love with your clients.
Treat them as you would a new lover. We think about a new love all the time. We excitedly look for ways to please them or make them happy or brighten their day. We drop everything to spend time with them.
And I was certainly NOT treating my business as though I was in LOVE with her.
Sooooo... now I am! (Oh, hello, Carrie Glenn! Smooch, smooch, smooch...💋)
All this lovin' starts with:
